I’m Chris.

As a writer, my portfolio is constantly a work in progress. I created this site several years ago as a personal blog, but didn’t post enough to gain consistent traffic. I’ve used the site to store relevant work samples as I continue to develop a passion for creating compelling written content.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, where I attended a private high school and excelled at multiple sports. Like a lot of aspiring athletes, I wasn’t skilled enough to go pro in any of them, so I took up journaling instead.

In college, I developed a strong interest in writing and got my degree in Journalism from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. I minored in marketing. Still, I wasn’t quite sure how to use this degree and make money as a writer. How will I find a job in print media? Doubts consumed me.

From restaurants to sales to a family manufacturing business,  I’ve had many different jobs since I graduated. But nothing clicked until I became an SEO content writer for a digital marketing agency in Springfield, MO. I thought, finally, this is a job where I can use my skills and interests to make someone’s business better. What a perfect fit.

I am eager to gain more experience as a copywriter.

When I’m not working, I enjoy sports blogging, Sugarfire BBQ, playing tennis, and doing 1,000+ piece jigsaw puzzles.
